Video Premiere: The Corrupting Sea's "Darkness"

Video Premiere: The Corrupting Sea's "Darkness"

Darkness’ Music Video is an example of a perfect mix between a video and the song it illustrates. The song will feature on the new album, Ghosts, to be released in December 2018 on the ambient record label Aural Canyon.

Jason Lamoreaux created a piece that reminds me of Bela Lugosi’s old movies. There is a tension born from both the stillness of some of the frames and the erratic lighting.

Nevertheless it never goes to the completely insane or dark. There is a taint of soft and happy madness rather than a David Lynch’s Eraserhead’s type.

Jason’s acting is really good actually if only by the half serious half ironic stillness he holds.

A big thank you to Jason for the honour he did Noise Artists. Check out the Corrupting Sea’ music and the other great bands of Somewherecold Records he Manages.

But with further ado you can watch the video and listen to the song. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have.
