What inspire you for the music or for the Lyrics?
I feel inspired musically and lyrically by dark imagery, dreams that I have, or contact with spirits. In the future Id like to try and recreate accurate representations of what a soundtrack to my dreams would be, Open Up Your Hell was moreso inspired by the concept of hell, whether that be literal imagery of hell or the hell I was feeling at the time. Oh and also ominous videos online, that for some reason inspires me more than almost anything.
Explain your songwriting process.
I usually have a clear idea of what the song is gonna sound like before I start recording. Usually Ill start with a rough skeleton and Ill add pieces of it until I feel like the puzzles complete. When recording the album I felt satisfied with a song being done way sooner, but now I find myself being more obsessive over it, a song is almost never complete to me lately, Ill add sounds that probably didn’t need to be added. Its all about trying to build a massive sonic piece of art for me right now.
If you could guest on someone else’s album, who would it be and why? What would you play?
Ive always wanted to work with Foxes In Fiction in some way. I was really inspired early on by Warrens stuff, they heard a lot of the early demos for what became Bullet Girls.
What musical skills would you like to acquire or get better at?
Id like to get better with making beats, I really enjoy working on that kind of music and have been trying to get better with it for my other project. Ive also been working with synthesizers and pianos lately, I recently purchased my first analog synth which has been really inspiring.
What are some places around the world that you hope to play with your band?
Id love to visit the UK or Japan, both have been dream places to play or even just visit.
When is the next album/EP due?
I’'m currently working on a new release for Bullet Girls, which is sounding much more dreamy, something you could fall asleep to easier. I’m feeling really proud of it so far. Open Up Your Hell was written so long ago that I have had time to grow as an artist and figure out what the next move should be.
I have a few songs so far, but like I said, the puzzle never feels complete. I have also been working on a lot of stuff for my beat based project, but I am not sure if Ill abandon that stuff or not yet haha.
Some artists you recommend.
Holy Mountain, he just released an album that I’m obsessed with right now called Crisis Actor. Also, Foxes In Fiction has an absolutely brilliant album thats out now called Trillium Killer, some of my favorite music Ive heard in years.
Anything else you want your fans to know?
Really just want to thank the people who have supported my music. I didn’t expect to receive any support for it so Im honored that anyone has taken the time to listen to my music.
